As Director of Scientific Affairs at the Computational Pathology & AI Center of Excellence (CPACE), Ahmad P. Tafti is honored to contribute to shaping the scientific and educational direction of CPACE, who recently received a transformative $10 million investment in AI in medicine from a major industry partner, Leidos. Dr. Tafti’s involvement in this AI center is a great example of a joint effort between CPACE and the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) along with Intelligent Systems Program (ISP) at SCI which is helping to drive several of CPACE’s educational and scientific efforts forward. An example of this includes CPACE’s new AI symposium (sponsored by Leidos) in November 2025 which is designed to help democratize AI literacy and increase networking opportunities between various key industry, academic and government stakeholders.
Working closely with visionary leaders such as Dr. Hooman Rashidi and Dr. Liron Pantanowitz, Dr. Tafti is helping to drive these key efforts forward. Dr. Tafti’s vision not only advances CPACE’s scientific mission but also amplifies SHRS/ISP’s commitment to patient‑centered innovation, education and research.
We are proud of his leadership and eager to expand this dynamic partnership with CPACE.
