University Honors College

The University Honors College advises undergraduates, seniors, and alumni who are interested in pursuing national and international awards. These opportunities both recognize past accomplishments and give students enriching educational experiences beyond the classroom. The UHC provides guidance and support on scholarship, fellowship, and grant competitions.

  • The David C. Frederick Scholarship provides $10,000 in tuition support to three full-time undergraduate students.
  • The University Honors College (UHC) Scholarship Program provides $2,000 in tuition support to approximately forty outstanding undergraduate students each year.
  • National Scholarship Advising is available to all Pitt undergraduates and alumni. As a first step towards National Scholarship advising, attend a general information session held on Mondays at 12 PM and Tuesdays at 12 PM in the Cathedral of Learning, room 1229. All opportunities require a great deal of preparation, so START EARLY.
